Jones Crawler Cranes Conditions of Hire

All JCC crawler cranes are hired out under the CPA (Construction Plant Hire Association) terms and conditions of hire.

 To hire a crawler crane, clients must provide a qualified and experienced appointed person to plan and take responsibility for the lifting operation.

Under the terms of a standard CPA Crane Hire Agreement, the crane and the operator are the responsibility of the client once the crane leaves the public highway in order to access the site. This includes travel on access roads, in the event that the site is not immediately adjacent to the public highway.

The client must have appropriate insurance to cover the following:

• loss of or damage to JCC crane and equipment whilst on site
• loss of or damage to the goods lifted
• legal liability: injury to the operator and third parties, whilst under the supervision and control of the client; including damage to their property arising from crane operations.
